from an adventure to a victory

written by JOE ELLISON

Last week Jacob Bridgeman won the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, CA,  for his first career PGA Tour title. The week before at Pebble Beach, he made headlines for a completely different reason.

One group ahead of leader Collin Morikawa, on the final hole Bridgeman hit his tee shot to the rocks. His second shot caromed off the cliffs and into the Pacific Ocean. He took a drop, hit his next shot to five feet and putt the ball into the hole for an incredible bogey.

Bridgeman made Morikawa wait 20 minutes, but ultimately Collin won the tournament by one stroke anyway.
